You cant become a Contract Agent on your own. Your home office needs to be connected into a full service data/voice network - thats why there is the LiveXchange Network.
When you connect in to the Network you enter into the fully secured, fully systemized world that has everything essential to the support of your Contract Agent business.
However, connecting into the Network has some specific requirements and costs that you should be aware of. The following is a brief outline of what is needed.
The LiveXchange License
LiveXchange is a private network specifically designed to provide the high level security, scheduling and multimedia communication tools you need to work remotely with corporate contact center clients anywhere in North America.
The LiveXchange Agent Access OS is the Networks exclusive operating system (quite separate from your Windows operating system). Agent Access OS gives you a comprehensive electronic work center that brings together everything you need on one easy -to -use screen.
The Agent Access OS software is licensed and supplied to you for a fee of $29* per month. There is an additional $10* per month license fee for each additional Client you choose to take on.
Your Network Connection Requirements
Your Network connection requires two physical connections, You may already have these in place at home.
A Dedicated Voice-line You must have a separate telephone line that is used only for your remote agent business, a basic residential line will cost you approximately $25* per month, the addition of a VOIP line would be considered you dedicated voice line.
A High-speed Internet A connection (cable or DSL) will cost you approximately $45* per month. Please note that satellite and Wireless Antenna connections are not permitted connections.
A Compatible Spec Computer - The network has equipment specifications that you must meet in order to operate at the technology level necessary to execute call and data transactions for Client call centers. If you bought your PC in the last year, theres a good chance that you already have most of what is required, in which case you wont incur any additional expenditures. Connectivity Note - Some systems may require ethernet card, video card, sound card or parallel port card upgrades to meet network compatibility.
If you use Bell Sympatico or DSL for connecting to the internet, a network router such as Linksys is required for easy of connectivity. All agents require a router on their home network. Linksys, Netgear and D-Link are recommended. The router must support VPN pass-through. A USB or Wireless connection to the router is not permitted.
Agent System Set-up Fee - There is a one-time system set-up fee of $19* for building the Agents profile, security access and custom CDs with your fingerprint scan files embedded.
Your Connection Accessories
A Bio-Mouse Personal ID System -This is a Network approved bio-metric security system that uses fingerprint identity to ensure that only you can enter the resources of the Network from your computer, and that the Client always knows that they are sending their customers service calls and data to you personally. This safeguard is vital to the practicality of the remote worker relationship. If the Bio -Mouse Personal ID System hardware is required to work for the client you are applying to, it will say so in their job posting.
You will be able to purchase this Personal ID System when you register for training. Cost is approximately $119.95
A Quality Headset System - It is vital for Contract Agents to have a headset that delivers consistent, high quality voice transmission under all conditions so you must use only a high quality headset. There are a number of different manufacturers we recommend priced from $65 and up.
Cordless phones and cordless headsets are not permitted.
A Digital Web Camera - A basic web cam is recommended for Agent/Client video conferencing and also for client security monitoring when required.
PaySource Direct Is Your Billing Connection
The LiveXchange Network partners with PaySource Direct an automated, third party billing service that supplies the precise invoicing and accounts receivable for your business
Each pay period PaySource Direct electronically bills each of your clients, collects the amount due and then deposits them directly into your account. The PaySource Direct fee is $4.95 per invoice period.
LiveXchange Is Your Agent Community Connection
LiveXchange is where you join the community of Contract Agents with whom you share your work shifts. You can contact your fellow agents privately through the on line Agent RealTime Work Centers. You can also form chat groups to discuss work issues and find out information.
